
Vocational Skills Competition of the People's Republic of China
The Vocational Skills Competition of the People's Republic of China ( commonly referred to as the "National Skills Competition") is a comprehensive national vocational skills event, approved by the State Council and organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. Beginning in 2020, the competition is held biennially. It is the most prestigious, largest in scale, and highest in skill level among all comprehensive national vocational skills competitions since the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The First National Skills Competition, themed "New Era, New Skills, New Dreams," took place from December 10 to 13, 2020, in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.
The second National Skills Competition, themed "Skills for Success, Skills to Serve the Nation," is scheduled to be held from September 16 to 19, 2023, in Tianjin.

World Vocational College Skills Competition
The World Vocational College Skills Competition (abbreviated as WVCSC) is a public welfare, international vocational college student skills competition. It is jointly initiated by 35 organizations, including the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Tianjin Municipal People's Government. The competition aims to promote the integration and mutual exchange of vocational education between China and other countries, facilitate institutional cooperation and exchanges, and enhance the friendship between teachers and students. Through the competition, a significant platform is created for teachers and students from vocational colleges around the world to exchange skills and showcase their talents.
The inaugural World Vocational College Skills Competition, themed "Skills Shine in Youth, Abilities Create the Future," was held in June 2022 in Tianjin and Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. The competition was divided into two categories: contests and exhibitions, with the main competition areas located in Tianjin and Jiangxi.

National Vocational College Skills Competition
The National Vocational College Skills Competition is a public welfare, nation-wide vocational college student skills competition, initiated and led by the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with relevant State Council departments, industry associations, people's organizations, academic institutions, and local governments.
With the aim of "Illuminating Lives through Competitions, Changing Destinies through Skills," the competition is held annually. It is the most comprehensive national vocational college skills event, with the widest coverage of disciplines, the largest number of participants, the greatest social impact, and the most extensive involvement of co-organizing departments.

National Rural Revitalization Vocational Skills Competition
The first National Rural Revitalization Vocational Skills Competition, the inaugural event of its kind since the founding of the People's Republic of China, was jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the National Rural Revitalization Administration, and the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The competition took place from September 26 to 28, 2021, in Urumqi, with the aim of demonstrating the guiding and exemplary role of vocational skills competitions in promoting the development of skilled talent in fields related to rural revitalization. The competition, themed "Showcasing Skills, Promoting Rural Revitalization," featured 11 events, with categories for both workers and students. Each province was represented by two participants.
The second National Rural Revitalization Vocational Skills Competition held in May 2024 in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, and was jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the People's Government of Guizhou Province.

National Industry Vocational Skills Competition
The National Industry Vocational Skills Competition is a national-level competition, included in the annual competition plan of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security upon its application. The competition projects are designed to reflect the unique characteristics of the industry and represent the highest level within the industry. The competition is divided into two categories: Category I and Category II vocational skills competitions. Category I involves vocational skills competitions that span across industries (systems) and regions, while Category II is focused on vocational skills competitions within a single industry (system).

The Belt and Road International Skills Competition
The Belt and Road International Skills Competition, approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, is jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the National Development and Reform Commission, the China International Development Cooperation Agency, and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government. With the theme of "Skills Cooperation, Joint Development," the competition aims to promote skill exchange and cooperative development among countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. The competition is open to 80 member countries and regions of the World-Skills Organization, as well as 35 non-member Belt and Road countries.
The inaugural competition was held in May 2019, where competitors from 44 countries and regions participated, establishing a platform for skill exchange and fostering friendships.
The second Belt and Road International Skills Competition is scheduled to be held in June 2024 in Chongqing.

"ITMC" National Digital Business Skills Competition
The "ITMC" National Digital Business Skills Competition is a national-level specialized competition organized by the China General Chamber of Commerce, hosted by the Internet Application Working Committee of the China General Chamber of Commerce, and technically supported by ITMC Technology Co., Ltd. The competition aims to strengthen the cultivation of digital technology talents and promote the seamless connection between the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain, thereby driving the vigorous development of the digital economy. The competition is divided into two categories: a Teacher Group and a Student Group. The competition events include E-commerce, Cross-border E-commerce, Digital Marketing, Financial Accounting, and more, comprehensively assessing participants' skills in various aspects of the digital business field.
